Ordination
of Brother Ray Jarrell.
Tallapoosa Church met for the
purpose of ordaining Brother Jarrell to the office of
deacon on February 11, 2012. After singing and prayer by Brother
David Torrance a presbytery was formed. Elder Tommy Patterson
questioned the church followed by Elder David Cawthon who questioned
Brother Ray. Elder Loyd Blair led the ordination prayer. Elders
Kenneth Watts and James Blair delivered the charge to Brother Jarrell.
God's spirit was present and the church rejoiced in the
provisions of our Lord. A right hand of fellowship was giving to
Brother Ray and Sister Geraldine as the service concluded. Elder Kirby
Patterson closed with prayer. Minutes of
the service can be found HERE. Click to LISTEN to

Baptism. Alex
Blair came
forward on Sunday, January 29, 2012 asking for a home in the
church. Following a wonderfully blessed service at Tallapoosa
Church on Sunday (Jan 29th), Alex (9) walked up the aisle and expressed
his desire to be baptized and unite with our church. Alex is the
son of James and Kristen Blair. We all rejoiced that God still
makes manifest his spirit and power in our lives and that he puts with
in the hearts of his people a desire to walk with Him. On Sunday,
February 5, 2012, Alex was baptized following our morning worship
service. Please join us
in thanking God for all his many
blessings and praying that God will guide the feet our our newest
brother in the church! |
